Residential Project: Classic Modern Living
This fabulous period home in Seaford has been reconfigured, fitted and decorated in a modern classic style. The result, a kitchen-dining room that's welcoming and sophisticated.

- Key features such as the coving, chimney breast and a beautiful bay window with deep windowsills have been retained. But the wallpaper, a mock Georgian fireplace and the wall separate two room and blocking light, space and potential have gone.
- In the dining space, the homeowners chose a limestone fireplace, hearth and step, and paired it with a realistic gas fire with a black glass finish. With a high efficiency 5.3kW heat output and natural rolling flames over hand detailed logs, it provides a lovely focal point and extra heat source in winter without the hassle and mess that can be associated with a real fire.
- Next to the chimney breast, our team created a bespoke cabinet and shelves which have been picked out in a dark blue, similar to that of the kitchen and also seen on the vertical radiator.
- In the kitchen, a large island provides an expanse of worktop and further seating area. The white Quartz worktop helps to reflect the light through the room and complements the limestone fireplace.
- Bright yet warm blue-green emulsion for the walls makes for a complementary and uplifting finish throughout."
